At the risk of repeating myself, we already have a good article detailing the history of Haifu Castle and its position in British historical events. You can read it here.
The following is my visit history, as well as a huge internal and external photo gallery to let you know what expectations are. I hope you enjoyed the trip.
I arrived about an hour before the venue opened. As a result of getting up too early that morning, I was so eager to start a new day. Although I took some time to stop before breakfast, I came too early. The courtyard of the castle opened an hour earlier than the castle itself, so I had an hour to explore the courtyard of the manor before I could see inside. But while I was waiting for the gate to open, I wandered around the village outside the castle.
Local bars, of course, if there is a theme of Henry VIII. It didn't open, so I didn't see what it was like inside.
The churchyard is open, so I wandered there. I am always surprised when I see such a sign. 750 years old. 750! This surprised Americans living in the small town established by 1832.
The church was open, so I went in. Warm and comfortable, but not particularly interesting. My roaming only took 10 minutes. So I sat in the car for a while, listening to the voice of ClassicFM, looking at my mobile phone, waiting for the castle to open.
When the castle finally opened, the small concierge looked very humble compared with the outside concierge.
Turn a corner and it's there-it's one of the biggest castles I've ever seen.
Including a proper moat.
"There will be suspension bridge! I like the ivy beside it. As atmospheric as ivy, all I can think about is the damage it did to the castle. If this is the legacy of the British National Trust, they may take it away. So, I'm glad to be there.
Although the venue is open, I still have an hour before the castle is really open to tourists. Why is the time different? They took part in a private group tour in the first hour.
Oh, how I wish there was a sunny day … the photos would be better.
Italian gardens are really spectacular. Astor spared no effort to decorate it and fill it with priceless works of art. Although there are so many things to see and do, it doesn't take an hour to explore all the gardens.
After visiting all the gardens, I still have about 30 minutes to visit. I tried the maze. This is a mistake. As I get older, when I feel trapped (flying with me is fun), I will become more and more claustrophobic and anxious. I don't like mazes, and I can't get out quickly.
I waited longer. I just sat on the bench in front of the castle and waited. That's the worst place to sit and wait! What a beautiful scenery!
Finally, here I am.
There is something strange in it. It is a mixture of Tudor furniture and upper-class family furniture in the early 20th century. That's weird. This is the R diagram.
