"China Golden Eagle TV Award", referred to as "Golden Eagle Award", is an annual comprehensive award for Chinese mainland TV art sponsored by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (China Federation of Literary and Art Circles) and China Television Artists Association (China Television Association). Its predecessor was the Golden Eagle Award for Popular TV, which is the only national TV art award in Chinese mainland. The first Golden Eagle Award was produced in Kunming on 1983, and it was held for 22 times in 2004. Since the18th China Golden Eagle TV Awards in 2000, Hunan Radio and Television Media (Hunan Radio and Television Media Co., Ltd.) has bought out the right to host the event, upgrading from the previous annual Golden Eagle TV Awards Gala to the three-day China Golden Eagle TV Art Festival, and taking Changsha as the permanent venue.

The "Golden Eagle Award" was initiated by Lin, director of Zhejiang TV Station, Zhejiang Popular TV Magazine 1983. Founder Lin named it "Golden Eagle", hoping to make a major breakthrough in the future development of TV series.

1983 The first Golden Eagle Award was held in Kunming. There are 9 categories of awards, but as the first folk award-winning activity, it has aroused widespread concern from the society and the media. At that time, the directors and screenwriters of CCTV and provincial TV stations were present as scheduled. Participation conditions and reporting methods

* Conditions: The work was produced by an approved TV production unit in Chinese mainland, and was completely broadcast on TV stations above the municipal level from April last year 16 to April this year 15; Participants in individual awards must be mainland citizens;
