In 1997, Liu Danli won the "Plum Blossom Award", the highest award for Chinese drama, and the "Wenhua Award", the highest award of the Ministry of Culture, in one fell swoop. She was called the "Queen of Chu Opera". Then, she went to the Hubei Provincial Opera and Dance Drama Theater and switched to singing opera. She eventually became the third generation Han Ying in "The Red Guards of Honghu Lake" and won the 22nd Chinese Drama Plum Blossom Award. At the Chu Opera Troupe, she won the 7th "Wenhua Performance Award" and the 14th Opera "Plum Blossom Award", and was elected as the youngest director of the Chinese Operators Association.
