Limitations of drug therapy
Some epilepsy, at least 30% of epilepsy is difficult to control by drugs, because studies have confirmed that the first drug can control 47% of patients without seizures. When you change the second medicine, only 13% patients have no seizures. At the third dressing change, only 1% patients did not have an attack.
Surgical therapy
If the dosage is sufficient after regular medication, the course of treatment is sufficient, and the drug selection is correct, when the two drugs are still not satisfactorily controlled, it is necessary to consider whether to use drugs for treatment. Because the consequences of repeated attacks, especially children, may lead to mental retardation. I suggest you come to our surgery, and we will do some tests to evaluate whether you can have surgery.
