3 Russia's Countermeasures Russia's "Russia Today" website said that Russia will send virologists to Guinea as soon as possible to set up an Ebola virus research laboratory.
China's Response China also announced that it will donate 30 million yuan to West Africa for epidemic prevention and control, and send three groups of public health experts to Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea respectively. Senior officials of the World Health Organization praised China's rich experience in dealing with the epidemic.
On August 20th, the "Ebola virus nucleic acid detection reagent" developed by the Institute of Radiation and Radiomedicine of China Academy of Medical Sciences passed the expert review of the Ministry of Health of the General Logistics Department of the Army and was approved for formal production. The reagent is mainly developed according to the Ebola virus gene sequence and has intellectual property rights. The successful development and approved production of this reagent provide an important technical reserve for early diagnosis, early isolation and early treatment of suspected Ebola virus infection in China.
