IB is the abbreviation of international diploma. The International Diploma Organization (IB), formerly known as the International Diploma Organization (IBO), is a non-profit foundation headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, established in 1968. It provides students aged 3 to 19 with intellectual, emotional, personal development and social skills to study, work and survive. Together with A-Level, VCE, AP and other courses, it is called the world's four major high school curriculum systems.
IB offers four stages of education: IB University Foundation Course and IB High School Course (for students aged 15 to 19), IB Middle School Course (for students aged1to 16) and IB Primary School Course (for students aged 3 to16) To teach these courses, schools must be authorized by the International Diploma Organization.
