Since 2000, China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation has been adhering to the culture of "service, change, sunshine and tenacity" and is committed to building a real social organization. It has experienced organizational changes from "government-run" to "private"; Management reform from "extensive" to "refined" and "specialized"; From "pan-poverty alleviation" (funding target is not accurate to people) and "wide projects" (poverty alleviation projects are not focused) to "targeting beneficiaries" and "focusing on brand projects".
Today's China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, focusing on improving professional quality, pursuing the effectiveness of public welfare projects, constantly exploring all details of public welfare management, is becoming more and more professional on the road of charity management. With the mission of "spreading goodness to reduce poverty, achieving others and making goodness stronger" and the belief of "operating charity, believing in management, winning poverty alleviation and professionalism", the Foundation provides direct help to the disadvantaged groups in poverty-stricken and disaster-stricken areas, especially women and children, as well as public facilities and community grassroots organizations in these areas. Adhere to the goal of the best product design, aim at the poor and vulnerable people to the maximum extent, give full play to the benefits of unit funds in poverty alleviation, promote beneficiary participation and institutional innovation as much as possible, build a funded international public welfare organization with wide influence, and promise to pay attention to the growth of beneficiaries' self-confidence, self-esteem, self-improvement and self-development ability by participating in project learning.
By the end of 20 14, a total of13.089 billion yuan of poverty alleviation funds and materials had been raised, benefiting 20,783,300 poor people and people in disaster areas.
