Major achievements
Pay attention to the pathogenesis, cerebral blood flow reconstruction and neuroprotection of arteriovenous stroke in China. We found a new mechanism of mitochondrial metastasis protection in acute cerebral ischemia, put forward a new theory of combined protection of blood vessels and nerves, and established a new technical system of continuous stroke treatment, such as ischemic adaptation to prevent and treat stroke, normobaric hyperoxia (NBO) combined with vascular recanalization, and interventional targeted hypothermia brain protection.
At the same time, it took the lead in establishing a multi-mode treatment system for cerebral venous stroke in the world, and developed special treatment equipment for clinical use. The results were written into international guidelines and international classic textbooks.
Aiming at the dilemma of unsatisfactory clinical transformation of neuroprotective therapy for stroke, a new theory of "vascular endothelial stress-neuron rescue-glial mitochondrial energy transfer" and a new strategy of "vascular priority" combined to protect blood vessels and nerves after cerebral ischemia were proposed.
