Specifically, the peak of carbon dioxide emissions refers to the gradual decrease of carbon dioxide emissions after reaching the peak in a certain time range; Carbon neutrality refers to a state in which carbon dioxide emissions can be absorbed, transformed and stored by the atmosphere, water and land, thus achieving a balance between carbon emissions and carbon emission reduction.
In order to achieve these two goals, the China Municipal Government has put forward a "double carbon" strategy, including increasing investment in clean energy, promoting green and low-carbon production methods, developing renewable energy, improving energy efficiency, and promoting energy conservation and emission reduction in the whole society. In addition, the government has implemented a series of policies to encourage enterprises and individuals to actively participate in the construction of low-carbon economy and ecological civilization, such as developing a carbon trading market, setting up a carbon sink fund, and making plans for the construction of low-carbon demonstration cities.
Implementing the "double carbon" strategy can not only effectively reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, but also promote the development of clean energy industry and green low-carbon industry, and promote the transformation of China's economy to high-quality development, which has important strategic significance.
