Professor Geng Mingzhai is currently honorary dean of the School of Economics of Henan University, research office of the provincial government, dean of the Central Plains Development Research Institute jointly established by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission and Henan University, national famous teacher, national social science planning project evaluation expert, chief expert of major projects of the National Social Science Fund, national outstanding humanities and social scientist (selected for the third time in China Alumni Association Network on 201), provincial distinguished professor, first-class discipline leader of applied economics, and postdoctoral mobile station.

Since the early 1980s, Professor Geng Mingzhai has devoted himself to the basic research and applied research of economics based on the reality of China's economic and social reform and development, and has achieved fruitful scientific research results. He has published more than 50 academic papers/kloc-0 in authoritative newspapers such as China Social Sciences, Economic Trends, China Rural Economy, Economist, Guangming Daily and People's Daily. Published academic monograph 15 in famous publishing institutions such as China Economic and Social Science Literature. He presided over 5 national social science fund projects, including key projects.

Professor Geng Mingzhai, while devoting himself to the study of economic theory, actively serves the local economic construction with a strong sense of social responsibility. At the end of 2003, he put forward the strategic idea of "Zheng-Bian integration" to build the core area of Central Plains urban agglomeration. In 2008, he put forward suggestions for Henan Province to deal with the economic crisis, which was highly recognized by the provincial party committee and government. He was once a core member of the national strategic demonstration planning expert group for the construction of the Central Plains Economic Zone, deeply participated in a series of major strategic studies in Henan Province, such as the airport economic comprehensive experimental zone, and was invited to participate in the symposium of the Henan Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government as a scholar for many times.

Main social part-time: deputy of Henan Provincial People's Congress, member of Financial and Economic Committee of Henan Provincial People's Congress, member of planning expert committee of "Eleventh Five-Year Plan", "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" of Henan Province, vice chairman of China Society of Social Systems Engineering, vice chairman of Henan Economic Society and Henan Private Economy Research Association. He used to be an independent director of zhengzhou yutong Bus, Pingdingshan Coal Industry Co., Ltd., Xu Relay, Media and many other companies.
