If it is not treated in time, it will cause deaf-mute disability, but after cochlear implantation and language rehabilitation training, it will have the same listening and speaking ability as normal people; However, children with phenylketonuria "don't eat fireworks" from birth, and can't eat normal foods such as breast milk and ordinary milk powder, rice and noodles, otherwise it will cause irreversible brain damage and become mentally retarded children. If children pass early screening, early diagnosis and early treatment, they can grow and develop like normal children.
Wang Yaoping introduced that these patients who are included in serious illness assistance are not restricted by the deductible line, the list of drugs reimbursed by the new rural cooperative medical system and the list of basic diagnosis and treatment items during the treatment process, and those with family difficulties can also enjoy the 0/5% medical assistance fund of the civil affairs department/KLOC.

It stipulates that if a patient is referred to the same medical institution outside the co-ordination area for hospitalization for many times in the same disease year, he only needs to go to the co-management office of the co-ordination area for filing before the second and subsequent hospitalization (electronic referral at the same time of hospitalization), no longer apply for the referral certificate, and continue to implement the preferential policy of reducing the deductible by 50%.
