The ASEAN Summit and the series of leaders' meetings on East Asian cooperation were held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from November 8 to 13, followed by the G2 Summit in Bali, Indonesia from November 15 to 16, and the informal leaders' meeting of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in Bangkok, Thailand from November 18 to 19.

G2 Summit was established in Berlin, Germany on December 16th, 1999. It was composed of 2 countries and international organizations, including China, Korea, India, the United States, Britain, Canada, Germany, Italy, France, Russia, Japan, the European Union, Indonesia, Mexico, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Australia, Argentina and Brazil.

The G2 was held in propose to create in 1999 by the finance ministers of the Group of Seven, including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey and Turkey.

2. Specially invited representatives

In order to ensure the close ties between the G-2 and the Bretton Woods institutions, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, the President of the World Bank and the Chairmen of the International Monetary and Financial Committee and the Development Committee also participated in the activities of the forum as special invited representatives.
