The main activities of China Tang Dynasty Historical Society
After the establishment of the Historical Society of Tang Dynasty in China, various academic activities were organized according to the main tasks stipulated in the constitution of the Society, and remarkable achievements were made, which played a positive role in activating the study of Tang Shi, improving the research level of the history of Sui, Tang and Five Dynasties in China, and promoting academic exchanges between China and foreign countries. Looking back on the work done by the Chinese Tang History Society in the past 20 years, it is mainly manifested in the following aspects: (1) Holding large-scale academic annual conferences regularly. At the beginning of the society, it was stipulated that an annual meeting should be held every three years. So far, seven annual meetings have been held. The competition venues are: Yangzhou Teachers College (198 1 year, Yangzhou), Sichuan University (1983, Chengdu), Guangyuan City (1986, Sichuan) and Shaanxi Normal University (1989) These annual meetings are characterized by their large scale. Every annual meeting has a group of foreign scholars from Japan, South Korea, Britain, Germany, the United States, Hongkong and Taiwan Province invited to attend, and some even formed delegations to attend the annual meeting, such as the Japanese delegation headed by Mr. Horidao in the second annual meeting and the Japanese delegation headed by Bumu Chaoshan in the third annual meeting. In order to train Tang Shi researchers and improve the academic research level of young and middle-aged scholars, entrusted by the Ministry of Education, the Institute has held four Tang Shi seminars during the summer vacation, which are held in Xuzhou 1984, Kunming 1987, Dunhuang 19 1 and Turpan1987. In order to cultivate high-level Tang Shi researchers as soon as possible and promote the development of the research on the history of the Sui, Tang and Five Dynasties in China, the Institute and the Tang Research Foundation jointly held the Tang Shi Advanced Seminar. The magazine has become an important tool for contacting members and transmitting information about the activities and academic trends of the society. 2. Minutes of annual meeting. Every time the society holds an annual meeting, it should select excellent editors from the papers submitted and publish them in the collection of essays. So far, six volumes have been published, and the seventh volume has been printed and will be released soon. 3. Historical survey result set. Four books have been published: a trip to the ancient Silk Road, a trip to Kuching and Qinyu, a trip to the ancient Shu Road and a trip to the ancient canal. 4. Essays on Social and Economic Development in Ancient Yangtze River Basin. Selected papers from a series of social and economic symposiums in the Yangtze River basin in the 3rd-9th century, and published three collections: Economic Development in the Upper Reaches of the Ancient Yangtze River, Economic Development in the Middle Reaches of the Ancient Yangtze River and Economic Development in the Lower Reaches of the Ancient Yangtze River. 5. Special Collection of Personality Studies.
