Every year from August 1st to 7th is World Breastfeeding Week. Every year at this time, breastfeeding mothers in more than 170 countries and regions around the world participate in breastfeeding flash mobs (The Big Latch On).

This year, my colleague Liang Liang led a group of breastfeeding mothers to bloom among the flowers. It was so beautiful!

This year, the breast milk pop-up charity event of Great Love Talking Breast Milk Love Charity has been held for the fourth time in Guangzhou!

This event was guided by the Guangzhou Women's Federation and co-sponsored by Guangdong Radio and Television News Broadcast, Breast Milk Love Volunteer Service Team, Guangdong Maternal and Child Health Hospital, Guangzhou Youth Development Foundation, Guangzhou Million Sunflower Garden and other institutions.

In the Million Sunflower Garden, which is full of sunflowers as bright as the sun, nearly 40 mothers with babies in their arms collectively feed their children.

The breastfed baby in the mother's arms, because of the mother's careful care, enjoys the health brought by breast milk, blooms with the unique smile of the babies, and feels the happiness like a flower!

The breastfeeding-loving volunteer mothers who participated in this pop-up came from all walks of life, including teachers, soldiers, medical workers, social workers, foreign company employees, white-collar workers, financial planners, media people, civil servants, mothers of two children, and expectant mothers of two children.

The youngest volunteer baby of Breast Milk Love is just one month old, and the oldest baby is 30 months old. Most of the mothers who participated in the pop-up have donated breast milk to the breast milk bank to treat seriously ill children. They brought their own little breast-feeding volunteers to share their experiences.

Advocate for breast milk.

The Olympic champion is also an advocate of breastfeeding. This year happens to be the year of the Olympics. The Big Love Audiovisual Breastfeeding Charity specially invited Zhang Jiewen, the 2004 Athens Olympic badminton women’s doubles champion and a breastfeeding mother of her second child, to serve as the charity ambassador for the Breastfeeding Charity.

Zhang Jiewen also shared with everyone the hardships and happiness of breastfeeding mothers.

Now, her second child is about to be one year old, and she will continue to breastfeed. As a mother, Zhang Jiewen has seen that her children are less sick and stronger after breastfeeding. Of course, she has the responsibility to let more mothers know about such a good thing!

The Women's Federation vigorously promotes breastfeeding. Zhang Cuiling, secretary-general of the Guangzhou Women's Federation, also rushed to the pop-up site to witness the event. Relevant municipal departments, the Breastfeeding Love Volunteer Service Team and other social welfare organizations promote the construction of maternal and infant rooms in public places and support breastfeeding with practical actions.

Pediatric experts professionally interpreted the breastfeeding scene. Member of the breast milk love expert group: Chen Yunbin, deputy director of Guangdong Maternal and Child Health Hospital and pediatric expert, introduced that breastfeeding is a "special meal" given by mothers to their children, which is very beneficial to the healthy growth of children.

No formula milk can be as nutritious as breast milk.

The Provincial Maternity and Infant Affairs Department has particularly supported breastfeeding in recent years, especially educating mothers whose children are in the NICU intensive care unit on the benefits of breastfeeding. Except for a few mothers who do not have breast milk, they will use the Provincial Maternity and Infant Breast Milk Bank to donate breast milk. Most mothers of hospitalized children

Xu Liang, leader of the Breast Milk Love Volunteer Service Team, said: Many breast milk banks have been opened across the country. As long as they are public welfare breast milk banks that use breast milk to treat critically ill children for free, they can apply for financial support from our Breast Milk Love Charity Fund to purchase breast milk donation consumables.

We have now received applications from other city breast milk banks, and we will try our best to support more public welfare breast milk banks.
