The "Yingshi Cup" Weiqi Competition for China University Students started in 1991 and was sponsored by Yingchang Weiqi Education Foundation. The annual "Ying's Cup" China University Student Weiqi Competition is a grand meeting for college students' Weiqi lovers all over the country, and every year, all provinces and cities participate in it by teams through trials. Now teams from Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan Province and Macau will come to participate in the competition.
On July 15-21, 28, the 17th Ying's Cup China University Go Competition was held in Shanghai Jianqiao College. After six days of fierce fighting, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and Fudan University won the men's and women's team championship, Manor and Qiao Shiyao won the individual championship in the professional group, and Korean players won the first and second place in the amateur group.
There are 158 college students from 31 teams participating in this competition, including 26 teams from mainland universities such as Peking University, Tsinghua and Fudan University, 2 teams from Taiwan Province, 1 team from Macau and 2 teams from South Korea. The host, Shanghai Jianqiao College, is the first private university in China to host this event.
