The World Harmony Foundation is a United Nations non-governmental organization founded by a group of former United Nations officials, investors, educators, scientists, retired generals, student leaders and other people of different colors who love peace and environmental protection. It is a non-profit organization, registered in New York State in July 2004 and affiliated to the United Nations Environment Programme.

The foundation was founded under the inspiration of eastern and western thinkers. The World Harmony Foundation is a non-profit organization. Its main goal is to convey harmony and peace to the world, education, civil society and future masters. All its goals also follow the mission of the United Nations and the Charter of the United Nations.

The purpose of the World Harmony Foundation is to promote "harmony between man and nature, harmony between people, harmony between man and society, harmony between countries, harmony between religions, harmony between families, harmony and health care of the human body itself" and advocate "seeking common ground while reserving differences, * * * shines".

In order to publicize the Charter of the United Nations and promote environmental protection and peace, the World Harmony Foundation created the Harmony Clock at the 60th anniversary celebration of the United Nations, which was selected as the first symbol of the opening ceremony by United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan. At the celebration, Secretary-General Kofi Annan rang the bell first, the President of the General Assembly rang the bell for the second time and the President of the Security Council rang the bell for the third time. This is a very important moment for the United Nations. The ringing of the bell is like the renewal of the times and the beginning of the celebration. Ringing the bell of harmony at this special international moment has also conveyed the sound of harmony and peace to leaders and citizens all over the world.

The Harmony Clock was founded by Liu Fan, the founder of the Foundation, and carefully produced by the top domestic watch factory. It was invested, designed and cast by the World Harmony Foundation, and was selected by the Secretary-General of the United Nations as the first symbolic gift to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the United Nations and the opening ceremony.

The United Nations Harmonious Action and Harmony Project began with the production of the Harmony Bell, which is made of scrap metal donated by Chinese and American primary schools, symbolizing the sustainable development of the environment and has the characteristics of environmental protection and recycling. The shell materials used in the exterior decoration are also donated by retired generals from China and the United States, symbolizing that human beings forge swords into plows and pursue peace; In appearance design, the word "harmony" symbolizes harmony between the earth and nature, harmony between man and nature, harmony between country, religion, family and human health, and the word "harmony" is carved in six languages of United Nations Member States and arranged alphabetically. The hour consists of two faucets, facing all corners of the country and representing five harmonious continents, but the shape of the clock is a western clock, and the combination of the upper and lower parts represents the harmony between the East and the West. The dove of peace and white clouds in the upper part of the clock represent peace and atmosphere, the flowers and plants in the middle and lower part of the clock represent the earth and life, the waves at the bottom of the clock represent the sea, and the striking point similar to the earth represents "we are people in the global village, gathering differences and seeking common ground while reserving differences".

The Harmony Clock is 60 cm in diameter, which means celebrating the 60th birthday of the United Nations. The height of 2005 cm at the top of the bell rack in the underground passage represents that the Harmony Bell was made in 2005, and the hammer for ringing the bell is made of wood. These symbols are mainly dedicated to the United Nations to emphasize "the renewal of the times" and remind people not to cut down trees, but to protect the ecology and prevent the spread of desertification.

The Foundation initiated the World Harmony Project. The first project is the Global Environmental Protection and Peaceful Recycling Project, which aims to encourage heads of state, parliamentarians, mayors, non-governmental leaders and students to actively implement practical environmental protection actions and participate in peace and sustainable development, so as to promote the moral education of peace and environmental protection for people and teenagers around the world, and incorporate this educational activity into school education curriculum as a textbook. Facing the current war, terrorist activities and environmental degradation, this project will have epoch-making significance!

The project is to call on young students all over the world to collect the collected scrap metal into specific recycling containers. All the schools and organizations participating in the project will receive the waste metal recycling containers made by the World Harmony Foundation. The name and address of the school or group are written on the container. Schools and groups send containers full of scrap metal to places designated by the World Harmony Foundation. These scrap metals will be used to cast new harmony clocks, all of which have the same design as those that rang at the 60th anniversary celebration of the United Nations. It symbolizes people's desire for a harmonious world.

It is planned that the newly cast Harmony Bell will be rung by local leaders of various countries, and at the same time, the student delegation will collect the scrap metal and weapons collected by the general into the Harmony Bell material box opened by the President. After being shipped back to China, it will be donated to different cities and put on landmark buildings, which can be used to educate students to enhance the concept of environmental protection and peace, and also deepen people's understanding of peace in various countries.
