To apply for Youqing, the applicant must have China nationality, be of appropriate age, have outstanding scientific research achievements, have a doctorate or above, work in a domestic institution and have no overseas employment relationship. Youqing is called the Outstanding Youth Science Fund, which mainly supports promising young researchers and strengthens the cultivation of innovative young talents. Matters needing attention in applying for outstanding young people:

1. The application of the Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars is included in the limited scope of the total number of projects applied and undertaken by senior professional and technical personnel.

2. Select "Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars" as the funding category, and fill in "research field" in the project name column instead of the specific research topic name.

3. The Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars emphasizes the applicant's own scientific research ability and innovation potential, and "main participants" are not filled in the application.

4. If the applicant is funded by the Young Top Talents Program of the Central Organization Department or the Central and Local Talents Program, it shall be indicated in the application.

5. The same applicant can only get 1 Science Fund for Outstanding Young Scholars.

Legal basis:

Tenth "National Natural Science Foundation Regulations" based on the scientific and technological personnel of the unit, meet the following conditions, can apply for funding from the National Natural Science Foundation:

(1) Having the experience of undertaking basic research projects or engaging in other basic research;

(two) two scientific and technical personnel with senior professional and technical positions (titles) or doctoral degrees, or with senior professional and technical positions (titles) in the same research field.

Scientific and technical personnel engaged in basic research who meet the conditions specified in the preceding paragraph, have no work units or work units that are not supporting units, may apply for funding from the National Natural Science Foundation in accordance with the provisions of these Regulations after consultation with the supporting units registered in the fund management institutions and with the consent of the supporting units. Relying units shall regard them as scientific and technological personnel of their own units and implement effective management in accordance with the provisions of these regulations.

The applicant shall be the person in charge of the project funded by the application fund.
