How is Beijing’s housing provident fund calculated?

Beijing's housing provident fund is calculated based on the average monthly salary of its employees multiplied by the employee housing provident fund payment ratio. The payment ratio is approved by the housing provident fund management center and is approved once a year.

According to Article 18 of the "Beijing Housing Provident Fund Payment and Deposit Management Measures", the monthly payment and deposit amount of the housing provident fund is reviewed and adjusted once a year.

The monthly payment and deposit amount of housing provident fund consists of two parts: the monthly payment and deposit amount of employee housing provident fund and the monthly payment and deposit amount of unit housing provident fund.

The monthly contribution amount to the employee housing provident fund is the average monthly salary of the employee multiplied by the employee housing provident fund contribution ratio.

The monthly contribution amount to the unit's housing provident fund is the employee's average monthly salary multiplied by the unit's housing provident fund contribution ratio.

Extended information: Article 22 of the "Beijing Housing Provident Fund Payment and Management Measures": The housing provident fund paid by individual employees shall be withheld and paid by the employer from their wages every month.

The unit shall remit the housing provident fund deposited by the unit and paid on behalf of the employees to the special housing provident fund account opened by the management center in the bank within 5 days from the date of monthly payment of employee wages.

After the funds arrive, the management center will allocate the corresponding funds into the employees' housing provident fund personal accounts.

New employees who join the workforce will begin to contribute to the housing provident fund starting from the second month of employment.

Newly transferred employees shall pay housing provident fund starting from the month when the transferred unit pays wages.

For seconded or assigned employees, the unit that has established a labor relationship with the employee shall be responsible for implementing the payment of the housing provident fund.
