Tian Dongping, leader of Xiamen Institute of Technology, is a second-level professor of the president of Xiamen Institute of Technology, doctorate degree, postdoctoral fellow, doctoral tutor at Xi'an Jiaotong University and Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology, and enjoys special allowances from the State Council.

Graduated from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 1977 with a bachelor's degree in physics, a master's degree from the University of Science and Technology of China, a doctorate from the University of Dortmund in Germany, and a postdoctoral fellow.
