Baiyangdian poetry group appeared in the late 197s, and there are quite a number of educated youths with high family background who can contact with western literary works. They spontaneously organized folk poetry and literature activities and gradually formed Baiyangdian poetry group. The representative poets are Munk, Duoduo and Genzi.
"Baiyangdian Poetry Group" can be divided into broad sense and narrow sense. In a narrow sense, it only includes educated youth poets who cut in line in Baiyangdian; The "Baiyangdian Poetry Group" in a broad sense also includes the peripheral members of Baiyangdian, who are "quasi-Baiyangdian members", including Beijing youths (such as North Island) who jumped the queue in other areas (such as Shanxi's forefinger, Heilongjiang's Majia, Inner Mongolia's Shi Tiesheng, etc.) at the same time, Beijing youths who stayed in the city and later gathered around the folk magazine Today, such as North Island, Jianghe and Yang Lian.
The representative poets of Baiyangdian Poetry Group, such as Munk and Beidao, founded the folk magazine Today. On the whole, Baiyangdian Poetry Group belongs to the obscure poetry group.

Munk: formerly known as Jiang Shiwei.
Experience: Born in Beijing in 195, he jumped the queue in Baiyangdian in 1969 and began to write poems the following year. He returned to Beijing in 1976 and founded the literary publication Today with Beidao in 1978. His works have been translated into many languages, and he has been invited to visit the United States, France, Italy, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Australia and other countries.
