1989, China Rural Development Foundation (hereinafter referred to as "Rural Foundation") (formerly China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation) was formally established under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, and under the cordial care of the older generation of revolutionaries such as Li Xiannian, Chen and Xiangnan.

Over the past 34 years, several generations of foundation people have made continuous efforts, worked hard and passed on from generation to generation, making institutional resources and undertakings from scratch, from small to large. Today, it has developed into a large-scale public fundraising foundation with an annual fund-raising and expenditure of more than 6,543.8 billion yuan, more than 200 dynamic staff, and a large scale and strong influence in the field of agriculture, rural areas and farmers.
