It is one of the outstanding representatives of the existing Ming Dynasty residential buildings in Tianshui, and it is also the only existing Ming Dynasty official residence in northwest China. It has high historical, cultural and artistic value, and its scale is also rare in China. The main building of Tianshui Hu residential building was built in the Ming Dynasty, including two buildings, the South Courtyard and the North Courtyard. It is a group of typical ancient residential buildings in Ming and Qing dynasties, which completely preserves the pattern and style of ancient residential buildings in northwest China from Ming Dynasty to Qing Dynasty.
