Many collections belong to the cultural relics lost in the Forbidden City, and there are many world-recognized treasures. In addition, David himself knows China very well, and collects the collection with the help of real experts. Based on the value judgment of China people, many western scholars believe that this is the only ceramics museum in Europe. Accordingly, some ceramic varieties discovered in the 20th century and popular in the West, such as Tang Sancai and Cizhou Kiln, are not prominent in the Foundation's collection. At the same time, it is considered by many China scholars as the best private ceramic collection in the world.
