Lanzhou University’s postgraduate retention rate is around 24%.

According to Lanzhou University’s 2022 promotion notice (see appendix): there are 1,151 places for the class of 2022.

An increase of 51 people compared with the previous session.

Among them, 41 are from national special projects: 19 are from the "Graduate Student Supporting Teaching Team".

"Rural School Education Master Teacher Training" 5 people.

"The National Defense Science and Technology Enrollment Unit accepts compensation for the quota of exempted students recommended by external schools" 17 people.

Note: The total number of undergraduates is 4,886, excluding 280 medical-oriented students, the total number is 4,646.

Without excluding the mainland Xinjiang classes, mainland Tibet classes, and the medical education system in the denominator, the actual graduate retention rate should exceed 25%.

The destination of the candidates who have been admitted for postgraduate study can only be sorted out accurately after the lists of postgraduate candidates admitted to graduate schools of each school are released.

However, the number of colleges and universities recommended over the years has remained basically stable.

Based on the destination of the recommended and exempted students in 2021 and the further study destinations of the 2020 class, we can roughly know the whereabouts of these 1,151 recommended and exempted students.

Faculty As of January 2022, there are 2,904 full-time and part-time teaching and research personnel, including 1,176 professors and researchers, and 799 associate professors and associate researchers.

There are 2,105 graduate tutors; 245 postdoctoral fellows; 144 professors of clinical medicine and 296 associate professors.

There are 22 academicians of the two academies; 16 leading talents of the “Ten Thousand Talents Plan”; 28 winners of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars; and 2 national cultural celebrities and candidates of the “Four Batches” Talent Project.

There are 12 top-notch leading talents in Gansu Province; 165 leading talents in Gansu Province; 39 winners of the "Famous Teacher Award for Higher Education Institutions" in Gansu Province; 28 "four batches" talents in the propaganda and culture system of Gansu Province, and 12 outstanding youth cultural talents.
