Zhang Xueliang Education Foundation is a national non-public offering foundation approved by People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Ministry of Education and registered in People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Ministry of Civil Affairs. Established in Shenyang in 2006. The Council is composed of relatives of Zhang Xueliang, people from all walks of life at home and abroad and leaders of Northeastern University. Mr. Zhang Xueliang's son, Ms. Zhang Xueliang's daughter, former Vice Chairman Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Minister of the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee, Mr. Yan Mingfu, former President of china charity federation, Mr. Cai Guanshen, President of Hong Kong Xinhua Group, are honorary directors, and the president of Northeastern University is the chairman. The office (located in Northeastern University) is responsible for the daily work of the Foundation.
