The Li Ka-shing Foundation is a recognized charity in Hong Kong. Founded by Li Ka-shing, a wealthy businessman in Hong Kong, on 1980, it systematically subsidizes charitable services in Hong Kong and around the world. In June 5438+October 2005 10, Li Ka-shing sold its shares in Imperial Commercial Bank of Canada for1200 million Canadian dollars (about 7.8 billion Hong Kong dollars) and established the Li Ka-shing (Canada) Foundation with its headquarters in Toronto, Canada.

By funding projects that can enhance social capacity, the foundation has achieved two major goals: promoting the establishment of a "dedication culture" and cultivating the spirit of innovation, commitment and sustainable development. The Li Ka-shing Foundation and other charitable funds established by Mr. Li Ka-shing have supported education, medical care, culture and public welfare over HK$ 8.7 billion. In addition, Mr. Li also promoted his enterprise groups to donate money and participate in social welfare projects.
