There are three shareholders of Harvest Fund: China Chengxin Trust Co., Ltd., Lixin Investment Co., Ltd. and Deutsche Asset Management (Asia) Co., Ltd. Among them, China Chengxin Trust holds 40% of the shares and controls Harvest Fund. The remaining two companies each hold 30% of the shares. The reason why Harvest is the largest joint venture fund company in China is because in 2005, Deutsche Asset Management (Asia) Co., Ltd. initially held 19.5% of the shares of Harvest Fund Management Co., Ltd., and then increased its holding to 30% in 2008. Since then, Harvest Fund has become China's largest joint venture fund company.
