How long does it take to start a new fund?
The opening period of new funds is generally not more than three months. After the fund raising period, the fund will enter the closed period, that is, the open period. At this time, the fund manager will initially allocate the fund assets, and investors are not allowed to purchase and redeem. In the later period of fund closure, the fund subscription is generally opened first, and the investment cannot be realized immediately.
After the end of the opening and closing period, it will enter the normal operation stage. At this time, the fund can accept the subscription and redemption normally. But closed-end funds do not accept subscriptions. However, if a closed-end fund is listed in the secondary market, it can be purchased through the secondary market, but this is not the same as subscription. Subscription is directly purchased from fund companies, and secondary market purchase is purchased from other investors.
