First, distribution. The giant panda is unique in China. It is not only a specialty of China, but also famous for its rare animals. From the fossils unearthed, it is proved that the giant panda has traveled all over the northern and southern provinces of China about 654.38 billion years ago.
Second, the reason: As early as 8 million years ago in the late Miocene, the edge of tropical moist forest in Lufeng, Yunnan, China replaced the original panda and was widely distributed in Yunnan. It has evolved into an omnivore that eats bamboo. About 2 million years later, these little giant pandas began to extend to subtropical humid forests, because China has a climate suitable for giant pandas.
Three: development. So far, there are no endangered giant pandas in more than 200 countries and regions around the world. They can only be found in the deep forests of China, Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu.
At present, the total number of giant pandas in the world is only below 1 1,000, and the number is decreasing. The giant panda has lived on the earth for at least 8 million years, and is known as a "living fossil" and a "national treasure of China", an image ambassador of the World Wide Fund for Nature and a flagship species of biodiversity protection in the world. According to the third national wild panda population survey, there are less than 1600 wild pandas in the world, which belong to the national first-class protected animals.
