The OpenJS Foundation launched the professional certification program on 20 19. This paper focuses on the key skills that Node.js developers need to build Node.js applications and services in a professional environment. After passing the certification, the developer can obtain the certificate issued by OpenJS Foundation, which is valid for three years, including PDF certificate and digital badge, and can be re-certified after the expiration. These two certificates are OpenJSNode.js application developer certificate and OpenJSNode.js service developer certificate respectively.
The certificate of OpenJSnode. js Application Developer (JSNAD) is very suitable for developers who have at least two years experience in using Node.js, and the certificate of OpenJSNode.js Service Developer (JSNSD) is more suitable for those who have experience in using Node.js to create RESTful servers and services. The duration of the two exams is two hours. Developers take exams through browser-based terminals, and each exam supports automatic retaking for free when necessary. The exam will be supervised by the invigilator on the spot and conducted online in English.
