Step 1: Report the loss by telephone (social security telephone number: 96 102) or pre-report the loss in writing at social security card service outlets or self-help pre-report the loss on the electronic touch screen of self-service terminals set up at social security card service outlets and designated medical institutions. After confirmation, the social security card that reported the loss will stop the settlement function (to prevent others from stealing the balance in the card).

Step 2: After 15 working days, the replacement card holder can get a new card at the social security card service outlet with his ID card and card certificate.
