Med-X Institute is one of the important scientific and technological innovation platforms of the "985 Project" of Shanghai Jiaotong University, and it is a scientific research and education institution directly under the school engaged in interdisciplinary research between medical science and medicine. Distinguished professor of Yangtze River and Xu Xuemin, winner of National Outstanding Youth Fund, served as the dean, David Dagan Feng, academician of Australian Academy of Engineering, served as chief scientific adviser and director of international advisory committee, and Dai Maorong and Chen Yazhu, academicians of China Academy of Engineering, served as directors of domestic advisory committee.
