Jinan City is rich in hydrogen resources. Relying on industrial by-product gas resources, Shandong Iron and Steel, Taigang, Fulun and other companies can produce more than 100,000 tons of high-purity hydrogen per year, and can increase their production capacity to 140,000 tons. /Year. Currently, enterprises such as Mingquan Group and Taishan Steel are actively promoting the use of by-product hydrogen resources to deploy hydrogen production projects and strive to complete them by the end of the year. It is expected to be able to supply hydrogen for vehicles by the end of this year, and plans to start a second hydrogen production unit in due course. Taishan Iron and Steel in Laiwu District will use the existing hydrogen production station to invest in the construction of a hydrogen production plant and a 1,200kg/day hydrogenation mother station project. It is expected to supply hydrogen for vehicles in February next year.
In terms of hydrogen storage and transportation, Shengquan Group plans to introduce Japan's Toyota International's leading 70 MPa Type IV hydrogen bottle manufacturing technology to develop the hydrogen storage equipment industry. It is initially expected to invest 100 million yuan and start construction before the end of the year to build a project with an annual output of 20,000 70 MPa Type IV hydrogen bottles to fill the domestic product gap.
In the research and development of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, China National Heavy Duty Truck Group has trial-produced and developed 8 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and has mastered the core technology of fuel cell vehicles. In terms of hydrogen use, Jinan has purchased and put into operation 40 10.5-meter hydrogen fuel cell buses in advance, and opened 3 hydrogen fuel cell bus demonstration lines (K10 Branch Road, K115, and 300 Road) , among which K115 Road has been built as the first 5G hydrogen energy bus line in China. This year, 20 Sinotruk Howo hydrogen buses were purchased again. The new buses will be put into operation soon and will meet the hardware requirements of hydrogen fuel cell bus demonstration cities.
In the hydrogenation process, there is currently only one skid-mounted hydrogenation station (500 kg/12 hours) in Jinan City. The Sinotruk Howo Bus Company located in Zhangqiu District cannot meet actual demand. Industry experts point out that without a hydrogen energy supply system, the hydrogen energy industry cannot develop and grow just like electric vehicles without charging piles. To develop the hydrogen energy industry, we must first speed up the construction of infrastructure such as hydrogen refueling stations. To this end, construction of two fixed hydrogenation stations has been started in Hancang Bus Parking Lot and Taishan Iron and Steel in Licheng District. At the same time, we will accelerate the layout and construction of the Jinan Port Hualongding Avenue hydrogenation station, the Sinopec Jinan Petroleum Branch Second Ring West Road hydrogenation station, the Shengli Hydrogenation Station, and the Gangcheng District hydrogenation station.
