Lin (19 18-200 1), formerly known as Lin, was born in Osaka, Japan, from Toufen Town, Miaoli County, Taiwan, and her ancestral home was Jiaoling, Guangdong Province.

He wrote many novels and short stories in his life. 1994 Lin was awarded the "Honorary Award for Senior Chinese Writers" by the World Chinese Writers Association and the Asian Chinese Writers Literature and Art Foundation, and 1998 was awarded the "Lifetime Achievement Award" by the World Chinese Writers Congress.

His autobiographical novel Old Stories in the South of the City 1999 won the second May 4th Prize "Literary Contribution Award" and the German version won the Swiss "Blue Cobra Award".

The Pure Literature Publishing House she founded (1968- 1995) is the first professional literature publishing house in China, which has published many famous books.
