The four basic principles are: sharing food with teachers and students, using local materials, being transparent and open, and combining villages and schools.

By the end of March 219, the Free Lunch Fund had provided meals in 1,168 schools in 26 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions nationwide, benefiting a total of 34,57 people. At present, there are 95 dining schools, with 2,848 students.
