The CSRC only accepted QDII applications from four brokers: CICC, CITIC, Guotai Junan and China Merchants Securities. Not surprisingly, the first batch of brokers who obtained QDII qualification must come from the above four brokers. The four approved fund companies are harvest fund and Shangtou Morgan Fund with joint venture background, as well as local southern fund and Huaxia Funds.

Individuals can also participate in QDII.
