China Huaxia Cultural Heritage Foundation is a public offering foundation and one of the social groups that study and protect China's heritage. It was officially registered in the Ministry of Civil Affairs on August 28th, 2007. The Ministry of Culture is the competent business unit. It aims at "arousing citizens' awareness and responsibility to protect cultural heritage, cooperating with the government to mobilize civil forces to repair and protect cultural monuments in China, and promoting social development and economic construction" and is established on the principle of "taking from the people, using them for the benefit of mankind". The highest authority of the foundation is the board of directors composed of representatives and major donors who are enthusiastic about the protection of cultural heritage from all walks of life.
