Why should the fund buy before and after 3 o'clock on the same day?
What are the trading rules of the fund? When can the subscribed funds be confirmed? When will the redeemed fund arrive? Why do funds sold at the same time arrive at different times? I believe many students will encounter these problems when buying and selling funds.

Today, I will talk about several key time points that need to be paid attention to in fund trading.

1, the fund trading time must first know the most basic trading time of the fund. The fund mainly invests in stocks and bonds, so the trading time is the same as the opening time of stocks. It is usually from 9: 30 am to 3: 00 pm from Monday to Friday, except for national holidays, so this is not exactly the same as the working day we usually say.

Although many online fund trading platforms can apply for trading 24 hours a day, the working days for sales organizations to accept open-end fund subscription, fixed investment, conversion, redemption or other trading applications within the specified time are limited, so it is still necessary to follow the trading days of the stock exchange.

2.T-day trading rules I believe many students are familiar with the concept of T-day. T-day in T-day trading rules refers to the trading day excluding weekends and holidays, which is generally bounded by the closing time of the stock market 15:00. Generally speaking, those bought before 15:00 on the trading day are calculated according to the net value of the day, and the net value of the day is generally checked after the update at 8- 10 in the evening; If the subscription is made after 3: 00 on the trading day, the net value of the next trading day (T+ 1) shall prevail, and the information confirmed after the fund subscription shall prevail.

On T+ 1 day when the subscription application is submitted, the fund company will confirm the share, that is, the transaction confirmation date. You can check the income of the fund on the T+2 day when you submit your subscription application, that is, the income registration day.

It should be noted here that when we buy a fund, we actually don't know the price, because the specific net value will not be updated until the close of the day, and the fund company will calculate it according to the closing price.

For example, Xiaoming expected the market to rise next Monday, so he submitted the order after the close on Friday, but this was an effect of Xiaohong submitting the order before 3 pm on Monday, which was based on the closing price on Monday, and the rise on Monday had nothing to do with him. Therefore, about 2 pm on the same day is the best operation time, because the closer to 3 pm, the closer to the closing price.

3. The redemption process of open-end funds with general redemption time is: t-day selling → T+ 1 confirmation →T+3 arrival. Redemption and purchase are the same. If it is redeemed before 3 pm on the trading day, the net value will be calculated according to the closing price of that day. If the redemption is declared after 3 pm, the net value of the redeemed fund shall be calculated according to the net value of the fund on the next working day, and the funds will generally arrive on T+3. However, according to the actual situation, the specific time of fund arrival can be viewed in the trading rules of each fund.

Redemption dates of several types of funds:

Money Fund: You can enjoy the weekend income if you buy the money fund before 3 pm on Thursday. Don't buy goods on Friday. Most cargo bases are T+ 1 purchase confirmation, that is, purchase on the first day and confirmation on the second day. Buy on Friday, don't enjoy the income from Friday to Sunday, and the funds will be idle. In case of holidays, it is most cost-effective to buy the goods base two trading days in advance.

QDII Fund: There is another fund called QDII Fund. By purchasing QDII funds, you can invest in foreign stocks, bonds and other investment varieties. However, due to the time difference, the transaction price is different from that of A-share funds. For example, if you buy a QDII fund on T day, it will be calculated according to the closing price of that day. However, the opening time of US stocks is 10 in the afternoon of domestic time, so the net value cannot be calculated until the close of the next day, and the share cannot be confirmed until T+2. When redeeming QDII funds, it is normal for QDII funds to arrive in 7- 10 days due to time difference and other operations.

4. Confirmation of holding time In addition, it is generally seen at the time of redemption that if the fund is held for less than 7 days, a handling fee of 1.5% will be charged. How is the holding days of this fund calculated?

Generally speaking, the number of days held by the fund starts from the transaction confirmation date and ends the day before the fund redemption confirmation date.

There are two points to note here: if the fund trading time is before 3 pm, then the trading confirmation date is counted as the next trading day; Fund holding days include weekends and legal holidays.

The above are several key time points involved in the fund trading process. Boss Jun reminds you that only by knowing these details will you not spend more money on investment and avoid idle funds.
