The most famous beach attraction in Qingdao is "Golden Beach", which is located on the Yellow Sea at the southern tip of Shandong Peninsula and on Golden Beach Road in Huangdao District, Qingdao. South of the Yellow Sea, it extends from east to west in a crescent shape, with a total length of more than 3,500 meters and a width of 300 meters.

Golden Beach has the most beautiful beaches and waves in Qingdao. The trumpet-shaped beach on the east side of Golden Beach faces the mountains, so the waves caused by the strong sea breeze blowing from the Yellow Sea always flock to the beach in small groups, making the narrow beach look particularly spectacular. Golden Beach is called "Golden Beach" because of its clear and flat water, fine sand as powder, golden color, blue sea water and the same sky. Qingdao Golden Beach is the thinnest, largest and most beautiful beach in China. It is known as "the first beach in Asia". At the end of 2008, it was rated as AAAA scenic spot.
