Beijing Normal University One Foundation Public Welfare Research Institute is a professional public welfare research institution jointly sponsored by Beijing Normal University and One Foundation. Based on degree education, with applied research as the carrier, public welfare exchange as the platform and policy consultation as the means, the Institute strives to become a world-class teaching, research and policy consultation institution representing the highest level in the domestic public welfare field. On October 20 12 1 month, One Foundation Public Welfare Institute of Beijing Normal University was renamed as China Public Welfare Institute of Beijing Normal University.

Under the vision of charity promoting social progress, China Public Welfare Research Institute, based on public welfare research, with public welfare education, public welfare exchange and advocacy as the platform and public welfare consulting service as the business engine, carries out international and domestic exchanges and cooperation, cultivates professional public welfare talents, promotes the establishment of new knowledge production methods in public welfare industry, and promotes the establishment and development of modern charity system in China.

China Academy of Public Welfare has carried out work in four areas: public welfare research and application, public welfare education and training, public welfare exchange and advocacy, and public welfare consultation and service. Public welfare research: pay attention to the combination of international vision and local practice, pay equal attention to theoretical research and applied research, and pay attention to public welfare industry, children's welfare and elderly welfare. Public welfare education: develop global public welfare education resources, pay attention to spreading public welfare knowledge and skills to the public while cultivating professional public welfare talents, and build a public welfare network education platform for the public. Public welfare exchange and advocacy: build an international public welfare exchange platform, plan and organize international visits, high-end exchanges and other projects to promote exchanges between Chinese and foreign charitable families and organizations. A series of advocacy activities such as "Shi Jing Public Welfare Lecture Hall" are held regularly to promote the exchange of industry information and the promotion of advanced concepts. Public consultation and service: provide consulting services for the government, enterprises, charitable families and charitable foundations in terms of charitable strategic planning, social welfare development planning, management mode, business development and project entrustment management.
