At that time, it was also because I didn’t want to retire in a state-owned enterprise. Young people wanted to do something they liked or go to a place where they could use their talents. So I resigned and looked for a job. After I understood what I should do, I searched online for a week at home, just to figure out something.
One thing, what exactly is insurance?
I also saw a lot of abuse on the Internet at that time, but in the end I still felt that insurance itself was indeed useful, and I also wanted to practice myself in the sales industry.
Since then, I have been associated with insurance to this day.
When I first started working in the insurance business, many of my friends and relatives didn’t understand me, and were even wary of me. This also made me very depressed. I worked in the insurance business for nearly a year, and was promoted from a trainee salesperson to a supervisor, and then to a supervisor.
I have been a part-time lecturer for a long time. During this period, I have earned a monthly income of 10,000 to 20,000 yuan, and I have also received 200 yuan a month. After working for more than a year, the team has experienced a lot, including being deceived by the direct supervisor, and helped by the director.
The betrayal of the team... In the end, the group of young people finally dispersed. The reason is very simple. Too many people want to get something for nothing, their former ideals have still changed, and they have forgotten why they set out for a long time.
Well, I have said too much. The experience at that time really gave me a lot of feelings.
Let me talk about a set of data. In the business area where I was working at that time, the average age of the entire team was no more than 27 years old, with at least a college degree. In one and a half years, more than 1,300 people had joined the company. The last one I know is still here.
There are no more than 10 people in the industry.
It’s such a terrifying retention rate.
Of course, this does not represent everything. After all, I am only a second- or third-tier company (ranking 28th in premium income among more than 60 life insurance companies nationwide).
At the last moment of the team, my director recommended me to the company's intermediary department and I started working as an intermediary account manager. I only held this position for half a year. Because of my outstanding performance and the trust of the leadership, I was directly hired to the lecturer position. Until now, I have been working as an intermediary account manager recently.
In the past three years, my performance has been up and down, and I have changed the manager twice and the branch manager once. However, every leader still recognizes me very much, and my salary is constantly rising.
Gradually, I became somewhat famous in this industry. The agency asked me to go to training sessions. More and more people were poaching people in the industry, and they offered a lot of five-digit salaries. But I haven’t done anything yet. The reason is
It’s actually very simple. This is the place where I grew up, and it’s also the place where I can show my talents. From being unknown in the intermediary market to emerging like this today, I have put in a lot of hard work. Even if I have to leave, I will truly be in the market.

2. Do you want to choose the insurance industry?
For young people, I personally don’t recommend that you just come in without knowing anything. You must understand what you are here to do.
The simple point is that personal insurance needs customers. Where do you get your customers?
No customers means no income. How long can you persist?
But from another perspective, the sales industry, especially the insurance industry, is the most training one. The two most difficult things in the world are to put your own ideas into other people's heads and to put other people's money in your own pocket.
, and personal insurance sales do exactly these two things.
And unlike the traditional sales industry, insurance is an intangible product that cannot be seen or touched, making it more difficult.
I would like to give some advice to young people. This is the most challenging place and also the most difficult place. There will be opportunities to soar here, but this opportunity comes with diligence, sweat, persistence, professionalism and luck.
It can only be obtained, and the success rate is honestly not high.
3. The current situation of agents in the insurance industry. In fact, individual insurance agents have a hard time. Their income comes from business (or team business), they have no social security, they face assessments at any time, and they are always looking for customers.
Most insurance companies always tell agents that we need to be financial planners, but in fact there is no platform at all, only insurance.
