Xu Xuemin is mainly engaged in the research of biological thermal effect and its application in medicine. A lot of international leading work has been done in heat conduction mechanism and fluorescence analysis technology. A calculation method based on biological heat and mass transfer theory is established. According to this method, the temperature field distribution in the three-dimensional space of the organism is accurately predicted. Compared with the in vivo measurement data, the thermal simulation results are in good agreement with the in vivo measurement results. This provides a strong basis for the optimization work including tumor hyperthermia and thermal imaging.

During my work in the United States, I received more than 65,438+00 research grants from National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NIH) and National Nature Foundation (NSF). After being hired as distinguished professor of Shanghai Jiaotong University, as the chief project leader, he has successively obtained the special fund for preliminary research of major basic research of the Ministry of Science and Technology (pre-research in 973), the national special fund for major science and technology "Innovative drugs and modernization of traditional Chinese medicine" (key project in 863) and the nano special fund of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission.
