The second scientific researcher
Pei Gang, the second researcher questioned by Rao Yi, 1999 was elected as an academician of China Academy of Sciences, and 200 1 was elected as an academician of the Third World Academy of Sciences. He used to be the president of Shanghai Institute of Life Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the president of Tongji University. Rao Yi's query points to the paper published by Pei Gang in 1999, which was funded by the National Natural Science Foundation.
Rao Yi thinks that the picture in this paper is false, because GPCR needs seven transmembrane regions to play its role, while Pei Gang claims that it only needs five transmembrane regions, even two GPCRs are like this, resulting in three equally wrong pictures.
