Date: 19: 44: 47, April 11, 21
Recently, the 3th Volume of Fungal Records of China, written by Professor Zhang Tianyu from the former College of Plant Protection of our school, was published by Science Press with the support of the Science Publishing Fund of the Ministry of Science and Technology. This is the third original monograph written by Zhang Tianyu after the publication of the thirty-first volume of Mycology of China in April 29. It is a preliminary summary of the research results of scientific research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation from 1986 to 26. The deputy editor of this book, Professor Sun Guangyu of Northwest A&F University, was originally the first doctoral student directed by Zhang Tianyu. Seimi Zhang, Deng Hui, Sun Bingda, Wu Yueming and Zhu Mingqi are also graduate students who participated in this work.
vermicular conidia fungi are the general names of several genera of asexual fungi with worm-like conidia. This kind of fungi is widely distributed in nature, belonging to the fungi kingdom, Hyphomycetes. A considerable number of genera and species are pathogens of important plants, especially Gramineae crops, which cause important diseases such as corn leaf spot and wheat root rot. A small number of species can cause human or animal diseases; The metabolites of some species may have some uses, and are a kind of potential fungal resources, which has great economic and social significance.
In the general introduction, this volume of Fungi of China introduces the economic importance, taxonomic research history and present situation, morphological structure, development and evolution of vermicular conidia fungi. The monograph includes 6 genera of vermicular conidia fungi, including 114 species, 1 variety, 1 specialized type and 6 undetermined species. Each species has a morphological description, host or matrix and distribution citation, and finally a proper discussion is made. There are 118 illustrations in the book, with main references and indexes of Chinese and scientific names of fungi and their hosts or substrates at the end of the book. This book can be used as a reference for researchers in mycology, plant pathology, microbiology, botany, ecology, biogeography, environmental biology and plant protection, as well as teachers and students in relevant colleges and universities.
The compilation and publication of Fungal Records of China is a series of projects supported by major projects of knowledge innovation project of China Academy of Sciences and National Natural Science Foundation. Professor Zhang Tianyu of our university and his graduate students undertake four of them. The sixteenth volume (Alternaria) and the thirty-first volume (26 genera of brick conidia fungi) were published in 23 and 29 respectively. The fourth book, Mycoflora of China: Myxomycetes in Soil, has also been drafted, including about 9 genera and nearly 5 species. It is expected to be published in about two years after further revision and publication of a number of new species.
