Save China Tiger International Foundation is a non-governmental organization whose main goal is to protect the South China Tiger. In 2000, Li Quan, a Chinese American, was registered in Britain, the United States and Hongkong. In 2003, the Save China Tiger Foundation began to cooperate with the people of China and the State Forestry Administration to launch a project to protect the South China tiger in South Africa. Four South China tigers were transported from China to South Africa for wild training. This project has been sought after by the media, but it has also been questioned by environmental protection and academic circles.
