Futures account, forget 500,000. Index funds are index-based funds. Whether it is good or not depends on the deviation of its tracking. The smaller the deviation, the better. On-exchange listed funds are T+ 1, while off-exchange funds are hard to say T+N. You can buy any index fund you like.
