The types of projects that will receive applications intensively in 2022 include: general projects, key projects, some major research plan projects, key international (regional) cooperative research projects, youth science fund projects, regional science fund projects, outstanding projects Youth Science Fund Project, National Outstanding Youth Science Fund Project, Innovative Research Group Project, Basic Science Center Project, Foreign Scholars Research Fund Project, Mathematics Tianyuan Fund Project, National Major Scientific Research Instrument Development Project (free application) and some joint fund projects, etc. Centralized acceptance ends at 16:00 on March 20.

For projects other than the above-mentioned project types, the Natural Science Foundation of China will issue separate guidelines. For international (regional) cooperation and exchange projects that accept applications at any time, applicants should avoid the centralized reception period and submit applications.
