Based on the price changes of domestic aviation kerosene in China, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Civil Aviation Administration issued a notice and decided to correspondingly reduce the fuel surcharge standards for passenger transportation on domestic routes.

Among them, the price for routes above 800 kilometers (inclusive) has been reduced from 150 yuan to 40 yuan per passenger, and the price for routes below 800 kilometers has been reduced from 80 yuan to 20 yuan. Effective from December 25, 2008, the time of ticket issuance shall prevail.

Infants priced at 10% of the ordinary adult fare will continue to be exempted from the fuel surcharge for domestic route passenger transportation; revolutionary disabled soldiers and people disabled in the line of duty enjoy preferential treatment priced at 50% of the ordinary adult fare. Fuel surcharges for police and children (including unaccompanied children) and domestic routes will continue to be halved, that is, 20 yuan for routes over 800 kilometers (inclusive) and 10 yuan per passenger for routes below 800 kilometers.
