Although at 9 o'clock that night, "Hellobike" announced that the network anomaly had been fixed and said that it would compensate the affected users accordingly. Although the failure of "unable to lock the car" has been fixed, the problems faced by Hellobike have not been handled well.

As we all know, Hello's core business has always been Hellobike, but it has never formed a business barrier. This is also the same problem for cyclists-there is no innovation in business model, low gross profit and high maintenance cost.

According to former employees of Hello, Hello has been cutting costs, although it seems that Hello is not short of money. In terms of business income, profit was announced at the beginning of last year. On April 20 18, Hello completed the E 1 round of financing. The main investors were Ant Financial and Fosun, and several other institutions participated.

But the financing is for changing trams, which has nothing to do with Hello's main business, two-wheeled vehicles. The first round investment of power exchange service is 654.38+0 billion yuan. In April this year, the joint venture company received another 200 million investment from the listed company Zhongheng Electric.

It is understood that at present, Hellobike mainly develops profitable electric vehicle (moped) business, subsidizes loss-making bicycle business, and completes two-round business closed loop. The profit of moped can only be considered as gross profit, and the core business bicycle is still losing money. The gross profit of mopeds simply can't support so many bicycles. So hello has never made a profit.

From the second half of 20 18, due to the fierce competition in the bicycle industry, Hellobike began to consider expanding its business, the most striking of which was Hello Ride.

This is mainly because Hello, eager to expand, doesn't understand the hitchhiking operation mode. The driver stationed on the platform reported that the delivery order was a detour, preferring not to make this money and not to run so far, resulting in no passengers taking orders.

In addition, Hello ignores that hitchhikers usually regard him as a sideline. Everyone has his own job, just using his spare time to add some income to his family. Therefore, when Hello hitchhiked and started to recruit platform drivers, his promised driver could earn 2,000 yuan a month, which was not realized.

As a result, this platform was once caught in a vicious circle in which the driver's desire to take orders was not strong and passengers had no car to sit on.

In addition to hello hitchhiking, we will find that the platform has recently launched the "Eat, Drink and Play" local consumption entrance, adding financial and car services and map content such as "borrowing money to save money", "car owner service" and "route checking". Hello's business is gradually extending to all aspects of our lives.

Hello has been unable to solve the problem of internal management, whether in the stage of recruiting a large number of employees in a short time when 20 19 is ready to go public or in this year's epidemic.

Although Yang Lei denied the proportion of layoffs in March this year, he also responded: "A small number of unsuitable people will still be eliminated and adjusted to improve organizational efficiency and make the organization more competitive." This also reflects the shortcomings of hello in internal personnel management.

The failure of the platform "unable to lock the car" may only be due to temporary network reasons. How to determine the correct direction of profit expansion, manage the internal employees of the company and let employees actively create greater value for the company is an urgent problem for Hello.
