History of China Theatre Academy:

At the end of January, 1949, Beiping was peacefully liberated. The original Siwei Theatre School of the 28th Division of the Kuomintang Youth Army in China was taken over by the Literature and Art Department of the Cultural Takeover Committee of the Military Control Committee of China People's Liberation Army in Beiping, and it was renamed the Pingju Experimental School of the North China Cultural and Art Working Committee.

On January 28th, 195, based on Pingju Experimental School, the Opera Experimental School of the Ministry of Culture of the Central People's Government was established.
